Farmstyle Plum & Tamarillo Beef Pies

These beef pies are filled with Barker's Professional Farmstyle Plum & Tamarillo Chutney. They’re a hearty, comforting meal in a crust.

Ingredients

  • 500 g Beef mince
  • 250 g Barker's Professional Farmstyle Plum & Tamarillo Chutney
  • 125 ml Beef stock
  • 350 g onions, chopped
  • 400 g celery, sliced
  • 400 g pre-rolled savoury pastry
  • Egg wash

Method

  1. Heat a little oil in a heavy based pan and brown the mince.
  2. Add Barker's Professional Farmstyle Plum & Tamarillo Chutney.
  3. Add the beef stock, onions and celery.
  4. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
  5. Divide the mixture and place into 10 individual dishes.
  6. Cover with a layer of pre-rolled pastry and brush with egg wash.
  7. Cook in oven preheated to 220°C for about 20 minutes, or until the pastry is cooked and golden.
  8. Variation: Pipe mashed potato over the mince and bake in the oven until brown.
