Berry Fruit Mince Long, Sweet Tart

A delicious tart made with a sweet pastry base filled with a rich blend of Barker's Professional Toffee Apple Patisserie Filling and Berry Fruit Mince. Topped with lattice pastry strips, egg-washed, and sprinkled with caster sugar, then baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 kg Sweet Pastry Base
  • 3 1/2 kg Barker's Professional Toffee Apple Patisserie Filling
  • 3 1/2 kg Barker's Professional Berry Fruit Mince
  • 500 g Sweet Pastry Strips

Method

  1. Push 250 grams of the sweet pastry into each base evenly - trim off the excess pastry.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the Barker's Professional Toffee Apple Patisserie Filling and the Barker's Professional Berry Fruit Mince thoroughly. Spread 700 grams of the filling mixture evenly over each pastry base.
  3. In a criss-cross or lattice fashion, place 50 grams of the sweet pastry strips over each tart.
  4. Egg wash and sprinkle liberally with caster sugar.
  5. Bake at 180 Deg Celsius in a conventional oven, for approximately 26 to 28 minutes
  6. Baking times and temperature may vary from oven to oven.
