Savoury Cheese Scones with Caramelised Onion

Fluffy, cheesy scones made with our Barker’s Professional Caramelised Onion Breadshot surprise. Will sit perfectly in your Cabinet!

Ingredients

  • 300 g Plain flour
  • 90 g Butter
  • 14 g Baking powder
  • 5 g Salt
  • 200 g Milk
  • 90 g Grated cheese
  • 25 g parmesan cheese
  • 150 g Barker’s Professional Caramelised Onion Breadshot

Method

  1. Rub the flour, butter, baking powder, salt and cheeses together to form a sandy texture with no lumps of butter remaining.
  2. Add the milk and Barker’s Professional Caramelised Onion Breadshot into the sandy mixture and combine to form a dough – avoid overmixing.
  3. Roll the dough out to 25mm thickness and cut as desired.
  4. Lightly egg wash the top surface and bake at 200⁰C for approximately 12 minutes.
