Ingredients
- 1 1/2 kg sirloin steak, fat and sinew removed
- 599 ml Barker’s Professional Teriyaki Meal Sauce
- ½ cabbage, shredded finely
- 60 ml Vegetable oil
- 20 g toasted sesame seeds
Method
- Cut the wide sirloin down the middle to make into fillets.
- Place the fillets into a long, deep-sided tray.
- Add the Barker’s Professional Teriyaki Meal Sauce and turn to evenly coat. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 8 hours.
- Heat a skillet.
- Pat dry the sirloin, reserving the meal sauce.
- Place the sirloin down on the skillet. Initially apply some pressure then cook 8 minutes each side, basting with the meal sauce as you cook both sides.
- Drain the cabbage (a salad spinner is good for this), then toss the cabbage through the sesame seeds.
- Thinly slice the sirloin, lay over the sesame cabbage, and spoon over any of the remaining meal sauce
