Chicken Saagwala

Chicken Saagwala is a vibrant and creamy Indian curry where juicy chicken pieces swim in a luscious spinach sauce. It’s packed with spices like cumin, coriander, and garam masala, making every bite a flavor explosion! Perfect with rice or naan.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Vegetable oil
  • 1 kg
  • 1 can Cherry tomatoes
  • 750 g
  • 60 ml

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  2. Grease the roasting pan with the vegetable oil.
  3. Spread out the chicken and toss through the oil, then place into the oven and partially seal for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven to the stove top.
  5. Turn down the oven to 180°C.
  6. Add the tomatoes and Barker’s Professional Spinach Saagwala Meal Sauce to the roasting pan, place back into the oven and cook for 25 minutes.
  7. Place the chicken saagwala into a serving dish and drizzle over the brown butter.
  8. HANDY HINT: Swap out the chicken for lamb.
