Spaghetti Bolognese

Makes 10 meals for 9+ age group

Ingredients

625g Uncooked minced beef or lamb

540g Barker’s Professional Pizza Sauce 10Kg

210ml Water or stock

A little oil

1.35Kg Cooked pasta

500g Cooked vegetables of choice

Method

Stove top

  1. Prepare a large pan with a spray of oil and put to heat on medium to high

  2. Fry mince until brown, stirring until mince is cooked through (10 to 15 mins)

  3. Reduce the heat and pour in Barker’s Professional Pizza Sauce along with the water/stock.

  4. Stir into the mince until well combined and warmed through

  5. Serve with pasta and vegetables

 

Oven

  1. Preheat oven to 200oC, prepare an oven pan with a light coating of oil

  2. Place mince into the oven pan and cook on high temperature for 10 minutes. Give it a good stir midway through cooking.

  3. Remove tray from the oven and reduce heat to 180oC

  4. Pour Barker’s Professional Pizza Sauce and water/stock into the pan together with Mince and stir in until well combined.

  5. Return pan to the oven to heat sauce on low heat for 5-10 minutes or until meal sauce begins to steam

Serve with cooked pasta and vegetables
