Paneer Saagwala

Serves 8

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup grated paneer cheese

  • 2 cups mashed potato

  • 4 tbsp flour

  • ¼ tsp baking soda

  • 2 tsp table salt

  • 800g Barker’s Professional Spinach Saagwala Meal Sauce

  • 200ml water

  • ¼ cup cream

Method:

  1. In an electric mixer using a paddle attachment, place the paneer and potato in the mixing bowl. On low speed, bind the two ingredients together.

  2. Add in the flour, baking soda and salt. Mix until combined.

  3. With damp hands, roll the mix into small balls. Place on a tray and refrigerate.

  4. In a wide roasting pan (or brat pan for a scaled-up recipe), bring the Barker’s Professional Spinach Saagwala Meal Sauce and water to a simmer.

  5. Place in the paneer balls. Using a spoon, fold over the balls through the sauce to cook them through (approximately 3 to 4 minutes).

  6. Spoon onto a serving dish and drizzle cream over the surface.
