Haloumi & Poached Egg

This Recipe Uses:

 

Serves 8

Ingredients:

  • 150g rice flour

  • 800g haloumi, cut into 8 slabs

  • 60ml olive oil

  • 650g Barker’s Professional Goulash Meal Sauce

  • 150ml water

  • 8 large field mushrooms, cooked and sliced

  • 8 poached eggs

  • 200g rocket leaves

Method:

  1. Place the rice flour on a tray.

  2. Coat the haloumi slabs all over in the rice flour.

  3. In a sauté pan, add the olive oil and fry each side of the haloumi until golden.

  4. Remove from the pan, add the Barker’s Professional Goulash Meal Sauce and water, and bring to a simmer.

  5. Meanwhile, place a sliced mushroom across each haloumi slab.

  6. Top with a poached egg.

  7. Spoon over the heated meal sauce and top with rocket leaves.
