Devilled Meatballs

Serves 12

Ingredients:

  • 1kg beef mince

  • 125g dried breadcrumbs

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 eggs

  • 125g smoked cheese, chopped (optional)

  • 120g Barker’s Professional Devilled Sausages Meal Sauce

  • 700g Barker’s Professional Devilled Sausages Meal Sauce

  • 200ml water

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.

  2. Spray a baking pan with oil and line with a sheet of non-stick paper. Spray the paper with oil.

  3. In a mixing bowl, add the mince, breadcrumbs, garlic, eggs, cheese and the first amount of Barker’s Professional Devilled Sausages Meal Sauce.

  4. With disposable gloves, bind the mixture together, careful not to over work the mixture.

  5. Form into 60 meatballs and place into the baking pan.

  6. Bake for 20 minutes until browned and cooked through.

  7. Meanwhile, place the remaining amount of Barker’s Professional Devilled Sausages Meal Sauce and water in a saucepan, and bring to a simmer.

  8. Once the meatballs are removed from the oven, pour over the sauce and toss to coat.
